Sydney Camera Hire is excited to hire the RED Komodo 6K. Weighing only 900 grams and fitting in the palm of your hand, the RED Komodo comes with a Canon RF Lens mount, 19.9MP Super35 CMOS Global Shutter sensor and 16+ stops of dynamic range.
Featuring a game changing rolling shutter, Sydney Camera Hire’s RED Komodo can record 6K at 40 fps, 5K at 48 fps, 4K at 60 fps and 2K at 120 fps in Redcode RAW. Using CFast 2.0 media, the RED Komodo provides data rates up to 280 MB/s.
The RED Komodo’s RF-style mount has a shallow flange depth allows the camera to be adapted to most other popular mount types such as PL, EF, and Leica M with some mounts offering ND filtration.
A first for Red is the ability to use Phase-Detect Autofocus with compatible lenses. This includes adapted Canon EF-mount lenses used with a separately available EF-to-RF adapter.
When it comes with ports and connections, The RED Komodo features an integrated stereo microphones and a 3.5mm input for audio. Also, an EXT port provides Genlock, timecode, GPIO and RS232. A 12G-SDI port will support up to DCI 4K at 60 fps in 10-bit 4:2:2.
